Summer Classes

We’re really excited about our new class schedule!

The Salvador cardigan might possibly be my favorite, but it’s hard to choose when we have a beautiful (and easy!) chevron lace scarf and some really, really cute sewing patterns.

Classes fill up fast, so sign up soon!

beginning sewing

Last week we taught our beginning sewing class (we, as in not me!).  The class was great, Sharon and Margaret did a wonderful  job and the group of young ladies we had together were so fun.

Sharon demonstrating what to do

Beginning Sewing is for brand new beginners.  In the class there is an overview of how a sewing machine works.  And by the end of class, the students leave with a super cute pillow case (with all enclosed seams – Sharon [above] is a genius!)

Kristin ironing her pillowcase
Kristin is busy pressing – not ironing – her pillowcase.

Claire sewing away
Claire lugged in her 32lb. machine and made pillowcases for her bed.

Ali's case
Ali picked out fabric from Amy Butler’s Love line.

Margaret demonstrating to Ali
Margaret is demonstrating a seam.

Sarah pinning her sides together
Sarah made pillowcases for her little girls.

There are three more beginning sewing classes left in the summer schedule.

Saturday, June 19, 1-4pm
Wednesday, July 14, 6-9pm
Saturday, August 7, 1-4pm

Sew Fantastic!

I am getting so excited to start my Barcelona Skirt sewing class in just a few weeks.  If I had the time, I would love to take all of the sewing classes that are being taught at Tangle this summer.  I’m intrigued by the Multipurpose Tote class as well.  The sample for the class is so cute.  And, it’s great that you can whip it up in quilt-weight fabric.  I took a peek at the class schedules this evening and it looks like there’s still room in many of this summer’s knitting and sewing classes.  So, if you’ve waited until the last minute to sign up – you’re in luck!
