The summer issue of Knitty is now up!
[knitty]
I have been introduced to Amy Butler through the girls at Tangle. The first six bolts of the retro print fabric just leapt off the shelf and into my heart. Now I am truly a small print calico person, so this fascination with this fabric designer was a surprise. The fabrics can be mixed and matched…or not. The Amy Butler patterns are written in the most understandable language, with great pictures to boot. I have lined purses, made purses, designed pillow cases, throw pillows, and much more. The cotton is sturdy but soft. The colors are bold and the prints are different and exciting. Six more bolts arrived this week. I am having a bit of a problem dividing my time this summer between sewing and knitting. I solved the time crunch issue by eliminating cleaning the house.
Fondly,
Carrie
I just stumbled across Rowan’s free patterns website. What a find!
